Kombolcha Polytechnic College (KPC), nestled in the industrious town of Kombolcha, stands as a beacon of progress and innovation in technical and vocational education. Since its establishment in 2001, the college has grown remarkably, producing a generation of skilled and creative professionals who contribute to Ethiopia’s social and economic transformation.
Guided by its mission to produce a competent and innovative workforce through high-quality skill development programs, KPC plays a vital role in empowering youth, supporting small and micro enterprises, and advancing national development. Our vision is to become one of the leading TVET colleges in East Africa by 2030, grounded on the values of integrity, collaboration, inclusivity, commitment, continuous learning, and innovation.
Over the past two decades, the college has expanded its training into seven key sectors—Automotive, Manufacturing, Electrical-Electronics, ICT, Textile-Garment, Agriculture, and Water Technology. Since 2016, through partnership with the Federal TVET Institute (FTVETI), KPC has been offering degree programs in core technological fields, both in regular and evening sessions.
Our college has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, proving its dedication to international quality standards. Moreover, with generous support from the World Bank, KPC is becoming a Centre of Excellence in the Automotive and Road Transport Sector, opening new opportunities for our students and the local community.
